50ty/50ty is an innovative art initiative that launched in 2016. The initiative offers collectors access to affordable work by high calibre artists – a feat made possible through collaboration, the fine art of the screen print, and the digital marketplace. The brainchild of fine art printmakers Black River Studio, the platform is named 50ty/50ty after the collaborative process between artist and printmaker in the creation of an original screen print.

The project’s commitment to accessibility is equally balanced by a commitment to artistic integrity and quality of work – ensured by the principles and processes of the Black River Studio. Wim Legrand, the studio’s Belgian-born master printmaker, works closely with the artist from initial concept through to final print, facilitating exploration of the medium while lending his technical expertise and insight throughout the process.
