Art Source South Africa, a Johannesburg based visual arts project consultancy, is managed by the dynamic duo Les Cohn and Taryn Cohn. As a team we bring our extensive combined expertise and experience gained from years of active involvement at many levels in the South African creative arts industry. Established in 2001, our services have been utilised by the contemporary visual arts community for the past seventeen years. Our professional services offer strategic management consulting for projects and businesses engaging with art, to individual career coaching and artist career management. Although not a gallery we are dealers in contemporary South African art having placed works in many corporate and museum collections. Initiated in 2009 our Professional Practice in the Visual Arts seminars have gained an excellent reputation for the specialised training and skills development they offer artists. Our seminar programmes cover a range of practical topics addressing the business of art; a need in the market we identified and to which we responded. Amongst others, topics covered include how to manage a career and market oneself as an artist. Feedback from artists attest to the value they find in these courses. Art Source South Africa has been involved in the growth and development of many contemporary artists, curating their exhibitions and managing their touring arts projects. We have had projects selected for the Main Programme of the Grahamstown National Arts Festival and for showing at museums, locally and internationally. This year we are excited and proud to offer the public a selection of artists whom we will represent at the 2017 Turbine Art Fair in Johannesburg. Their investment quality work will offer the first time buyer as well as the serious collector an exciting selection
of contemporary artworks at reasonable prices by established artists, as well as younger artists gaining prominence.
Visitors to our stand GH2 will find challenging work displaying a high standard.
We are excited to present the following artists at Art Source South Africa’s stand GH2:
